你所赐给我的荣耀，我已赐给他们（约17：22）。 我见主坐在高高的宝座上。他的衣裳垂下，遮满圣殿。其上有撒拉弗侍立。彼此呼喊说：圣哉！圣哉！圣哉！万军之耶和华，他的荣光充满全地（赛6：1…3）！以赛亚因为看见他的荣耀，就指着他说这话（约12：41）。在宝座形像以上有彷佛人的形状。下雨的日子，云中虹的形状怎样，周围光辉的形状也是怎样。这就是耶和华荣耀的形像（结l：26，28）。摩西说：求你显出你的荣耀给我看。耶和华说：我要显我一切的恩慈，在你面前经过。又说：你不能看见我的面，因为人见我的面不能存活（出33：18…20）。从来没有人看见 神，只有在父怀里的独生子将他表明出来（约1：18）。那吩咐光从黑暗里照出来的 神，已经照在我们心里，叫我们得知 神荣耀的光显在耶稣基督的面上（林后4：6）。 The glory which thou gavest me I have given them。 I saw 。。。 the Lord sitting upon a throne； high and lifted up； and his train filled the temple。 Above it stood the seraphims。 And one cried unto another； and said； Holy； holy； holy； is the LORD of hosts； the whole earth is full of his glory。 — These things said Esaias； when he saw his glory； and spake of him。 — Upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness 。。。 of a man above upon it。 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain； so was the appearance of the brightness round about。 This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD。 I beseech thee； shew me thy glory。 And he said； Thou canst not see my face： for there shall no man see me； and live。 — No man hath seen God at any time； the only begotten Son； which is in the bosom of the Father； he hath declared him。 — God； who manded the light to shine out of darkness； hath shined in our hearts； to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ。

身体没有灵魂是死的，信心没有行为也是死的（雅2：26）。
凡称呼我主啊主啊的人，不能都进天国；惟独遵行我天父旨意的人，才能进去（太7：21）。非圣洁没有人能见主（来12：14）。有了信心，又要加上德行；有了德行，又要加上知识；有了知识，又要加上节制；有了节制，又要加上忍耐；有了忍耐，又要加上虔敬；有了虔敬，又要加上爱弟兄的心；有了爱弟兄的心，又要加上爱众人的心。你们若充充足足的有这几样，就必使你们在认识我们的主耶稣基督上不至于闲懒不结果子了。人若没有这几样，就是眼瞎，只看见近处的，忘了他旧日的罪已经得了洁净。所以弟兄们，应当更加殷勤。使你们所蒙的恩召和拣选坚定不移。因为你们若行这几样，就永不失脚（彼后1：5…10）。
