And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation； because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day； and said unto the people； There are six days in which men ought to work： in them therefore e and be healed； and not on the sabbath day。
13：15主说，假冒为善的人哪，难道你们各人在安息日不解开槽上的牛驴，牵去饮吗。
The Lord then answered him； and said； Thou hypocrite； doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall； and lead him away to watering？
13：16况且这女人本是亚伯拉罕的后裔，被撒但捆绑了这十八年，不当在安息日解开他的绑吗。
And ought not this woman； being a daughter of Abraham； whom Satan hath bound； lo； these eighteen years； be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day？
13：17耶稣说这话，他的敌人都惭愧了。众人因他所行一切荣耀的事，就都欢喜了。
And when he had said these things； all his adversaries were ashamed： and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him。
13：18耶稣说，神的国，好像什么。我拿什么来比较呢。
Then said he； Unto what is the kingdom of God like？ and whereunto shall I resemble it？
13：19好像一粒芥菜种，有人拿去种在园子里。长大成树，天上的飞鸟，宿在他的枝上。
It is like a grain of mustard seed； which a man took； and cast into his garden； and it grew； and waxed a great tree； and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it。
13：20又说，我拿什么来比神的国呢。
And again he said； Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God？
13：21好比面酵，有妇人拿来藏在三斗面里，直等全团都发起来。
It is like leaven； which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal； till the whole was leavened。
13：22耶稣往耶路撒冷去，在所经过的各城各乡教训人。
And he went through the cities and villages； teaching； and journeying toward Jerusalem。
13：23有一个人问他说，主阿，得救的人少吗。
Then said one unto him； Lord； are there few that be saved？ And he said unto them；
13：24耶稣对众人说，你们要努力进窄门。我告诉你们，将来有许多人想要进去，却是不能。
Strive to enter in at the strait gate： for many； I say unto you； will seek to enter in； and shall not be able。
13：25及至家主起来关了门，你们站在外面叩门，说，主阿，给我们开门，他就回答说，我不认识你们，不晓得你们是那里来的。
When once the master of the house is risen up； and hath shut to the door； and ye begin to stand without； and to knock at the door； saying； Lord； Lord； open unto us； and he shall answer and say unto you； I know you not whence ye are：
13：26那时，你们要说，我们在你面前吃过喝过，你也在我们街上教训过人。
Then shall ye begin to say； We have eaten and drunk in thy presence； and thou hast taught in our streets。
13：27他要说，我告诉你们，我不晓得你们是那里来的。你们这切作恶的人，离开我去吧。
But he shall say； I tell you； I know you not whence ye are； depart from me； all ye workers of iniquity。
13：28你们要看见亚伯拉罕，以撒，雅各，和众先知，都在神的国里，你们却被赶到外面。在那里必要哀哭切齿了。
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth； when ye shall see Abraham； and Isaac； and Jacob； and all the prophets； in the kingdom of God； and you yourselves thrust out。
13：29从东，从西，从南，从北，将有人来，在神的国里坐席。
And they shall e from the east； and from the west； and from the north； and from the south； and shall sit down in the kingdom of God。
13：30只是有在后的将要在前，有在前的将要在后。
And； behold； there are last which shall be first； and there are first which shall be last。
13：31正当那时，有几个法利赛人来对耶稣说，离开这里去吧。因为希律想要杀你。
The same day there came certain of the Pharisees； saying unto him； Get thee out； and depart hence： for Herod will kill thee。
13：32耶稣说，你们去告诉那个狐狸说，今天明天我赶鬼治病，第三天我的事就成全了。
And he said unto them； Go ye； and tell that fox； Behold； I cast out devils； and I do cures to day and to morrow； and the third day I shall be perfected。
13：33虽然这样，今天明天后天我必须前行。因为先知在耶路撒冷之外丧命是不能的。
Nevertheless I must walk to day； and to morrow； and the day following： for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem。
13：34耶路撒冷阿，耶路撒冷阿，你常杀害先知，又用石头打死那奉差遣到你这里来的人。我多次愿意聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，只是你们不愿意。
O Jerusalem； Jerusalem； which killest the prophets； and stonest them that are sent unto thee； how often would I have gathered thy children together； as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings； and ye would not！
13：35看哪，你们的家成为荒场留给你们。我告诉你们，从今以后你们不得再见我，直等到你们说，奉主名来的是应当称颂的。
Behold； your house is left unto you desolate： and verily I say unto you； Ye shall not see me； until the time e when ye shall say； Blessed is he that eth in the name of the Lord。

14：1安息日，耶稣到一个法利赛人的首领家里去吃饭，他们就窥探他。
And it came to pass； as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day； that they watched him。
14：2在他面前有一个患水臌的人。
And； behold； there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy。
14：3耶稣对律法师和法利赛人说，安息日治病，可以不可以。
And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees； saying； Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day？
14：4他们却不言语。耶稣就治好那人，叫他走了。
And they held their peace。 And he took him； and healed him； and let him go；
14：5便对他们说，你们中间谁有驴或有牛，在安息日掉在井里，不立时拉他上来呢。
And answered them； saying； Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit； and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day？
14：6他们不能对答这话。
And they could not answer him again to these things。
14：7耶稣见所请的客拣择首位，就用比喻对他们说，
And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden； when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms； saying unto them；
14：8你被人请去赴婚姻的筵席，不要坐在首位上。恐怕有比你尊贵的客，被他请来。
When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding； sit not down in the highest room； lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him；
14：9那请你们的人前来对你说，让座寄这一位吧。你就羞羞惭惭的退到末位上去了。
And he that bade thee and him e and say to thee； Give this man place； and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room。
14：10你被请的时候，就去坐在末位上，好叫那请你的人来，对你说，朋友，请上坐，那时你在同席的人面前，就有了光彩了。
But when thou art bidden； go and sit down in the lowest room； that when he that bade thee eth； he may say unto thee； Friend； go up higher： then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee。
14：11因为凡自高的必降为卑。自卑的必升为高。
For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased； and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted。
14：12耶稣又对请他的人说，你摆设午饭，或晚饭，不要请你的朋友，弟兄，亲属，和富足的邻舍。恐怕他们也请你，你就得了报答。
Then said he also to him that bade him； When thou makest a dinner or a supper； call not thy friends； nor thy brethren； neither thy kinsmen； nor thy rich neighbours； lest they also bid thee again； and a repence be made thee。
14：13你摆设筵席，倒要请那贫穷的，残废的，瘸腿的，瞎眼的，你就有福了。
But when thou makest a feast； call the poor； the maimed； the lame； the blind：
14：14因为他们没有什么可报答你。到义人复活的时候，你要得着报答。
And thou shalt be blessed； for they cannot repense thee： for thou shalt be repensed at the resurrection of the just。
14：15同席的友一人听见这话，就对耶稣说，在神国里吃饭的有福了。
And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things； he said unto him； Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God。
14：16耶稣对他说，有一人摆设大筵席，请了许多客。
Then said he unto him； A certain man made a great supper； and bade many：
14：17到了坐席的时后，打发仆人去对所请的人说，请来吧。样样都齐备了。
And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden； e； for all things are now ready。
14：18众人一口同音的推辞。头一个说，我买了一块地，必须去看看。请你准我辞了。
And they all with one consent began to make excuse。 The first said unto him； I have bought a piece of ground； and I must needs go and see it： I pray thee have me excused。
14：19又有一个说，我买了五对牛，要去试一试。请你准我辞了。
And another said； I have bought five yoke of oxen； and I go to prove them： I pray thee have me excused。
