2：5我们所说将来的世界，神原没有交给天使管辖。
For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to e； whereof we speak。
2：6但有人在经上某处证明说，人算什么，你竟顾念他，世人算什么，你竟眷顾他。
But one in a certain place testified； saying； What is man； that thou art mindful of him？ or the son of man； that thou visitest him？
2：7你叫他比天使微小一点，（或作你叫他暂时比天使小）赐他荣耀尊贵为冠冕，并将你手所造的都派他管理。
Thou madest him a little lower than the angels； thou crownedst him with glory and honour； and didst set him over the works of thy hands：
2：8叫万物都服在他的脚下。既叫万物都服他，就没有剩下一样不服他的。只是如今我们还不见万物都服他。
Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet。 For in that he put all in subjection under him； he left nothing that is not put under him。 But now we see not yet all things put under him。
2：9惟独见那成为比天使小一点的耶稣，（或作惟独见耶稣暂时比天使小）因为受死的苦，就得了尊贵荣耀为冠冕，叫他因着神的恩，为人人尝了死味。
But we see Jesus； who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death； crowned with glory and honour； that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man。
2：10原来那为万物所属，为万物所本的，要领许多的儿子进荣耀里去，使救他们的元帅，因受苦难得以完全，本是合宜的。
For it became him； for whom are all things； and by whom are all things； in bringing many sons unto glory； to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings。
2：11因那使人成圣的，和那些得以成圣的，都是出于一。所以他称他们为弟兄，也不以为耻，
For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one： for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren；
2：12说，我要将你的名传与我的弟兄，在会中我要颂杨你。
Saying； I will declare thy name unto my brethren； in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee。
2：13又说，我要倚赖他。又说，看哪，我与神所给我的儿女。
And again； I will put my trust in him。 And again； Behold I and the children which God hath given me。
2：14儿女既同有血肉之体，他也照样亲自成了血肉之体。特要藉着死，败坏那掌死权的，就是魔鬼。
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood； he also himself likewise took part of the same； that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death； that is； the devil；
2：15并要释放那些一生因怕死而为奴仆的人。
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage。
2：16他并不救拔天使，乃是救拔亚伯拉罕的后裔。
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels； but he took on him the seed of Abraham。
2：17所以他凡事该与他的弟兄相同，为要在神的事上，成为慈悲忠信的大祭司，为百姓的罪献上挽回祭。
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren； that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God； to make reconciliation for the sins of the people。
2：18他自己既然被试探而受苦，就能搭救被试探的人。
For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted； he is able to succour them that are tempted。

3：1同蒙天召的圣洁弟兄阿，你们应当思想，我们所认为使者，为大祭司的耶稣。
Wherefore； holy brethren； partakers of the heavenly calling； consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession； Christ Jesus；
3：2他为那设立他的尽忠，如同摩西在神的全家尽忠一样。
Who was faithful to him that appointed him； as also Moses was faithful in all his house。
3：3他比摩西算是更配多得荣耀，好像建造房屋的比房屋更尊荣。
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses； inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house。
3：4因为房屋都必有人建造。但建造万物的就是神。
For every house is builded by some man； but he that built all things is God。
3：5摩西为仆人，在神的全家诚然尽忠，为要证明将来必传说的事。
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house； as a servant； for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after；
3：6但基督为儿子，治理神的家。我们若将可夸的盼望和胆量，坚持到底，便是他的家了。
But Christ as a son over his own house； whose house are we； if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end。
3：7圣灵有话说，你们今日若听他的话，
Wherefore （as the Holy Ghost saith； To day if ye will hear his voice；
3：8就不可硬着心，像在旷野惹他发怒，试探他的时候一样。
Harden not your hearts； as in the provocation； in the day of temptation in the wilderness：
3：9在那里，你们的祖宗试我探我，并且观看我的作为，有四十年之久。
When your fathers tempted me； proved me； and saw my works forty years。
3：10所以我厌烦那世代的人，说，他们心里常常迷糊，竟不晓得我的作为。
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation； and said； They do alway err in their heart； and they have not known my ways。
3：11我就在怒中起誓说，他们断不可进入我的安息。
So I sware in my wrath； They shall not enter into my rest。）
3：12弟兄们，你们要谨慎，免得你们中间，或有人存着不信的恶心，把永生神离弃了。
Take heed； brethren； lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief； in departing from the living God。
3：13总要趁着还有今日，天天彼此相劝，免得你们中间，有人被罪迷惑，心里就刚硬了。
But exhort one another daily； while it is called To day； lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin。
3：14我们若将起初确实的信心，坚持到底，就在基督里有分了。
For we are made partakers of Christ； if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end；
3：15经上说，你们今日若听他的话，就不可硬着心，像惹他发怒的日子一样。
While it is said； To day if ye will hear his voice； harden not your hearts； as in the provocation。
3：16那时听见他话惹他发怒的是谁呢。岂不是跟着摩西从埃及出来的众人吗。
For some； when they had heard； did provoke： howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses。
3：17神四十年之久，又厌烦谁呢。岂不是那些犯罪尸首倒在旷野的人吗。
But with whom was he grieved forty years？ was it not with them that had sinned； whose carcases fell in the wilderness？
3：18又向谁起誓，不容他们进入他的安息呢。岂不是向那些不信从的人吗。
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest； but to them that believed not？
3：19这样看来，他们不能进入安息，是因为不信的缘故了。
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief。

4：1我们既蒙留下有进入他安息的应许，就当畏惧，免得我们中间，（我们原文作你们）或有人似乎是赶不上了。
Let us therefore fear； lest； a promise being left us of entering into his rest； any of you should seem to e short of it。
4：2因为有福音传给我们，像传给他们一样。只是所听见的道与他们无益，因为他们没有信心与所听见的道调和。
For unto us was the gospel preached； as well as unto them： but the word preached did not profit them； not being mixed with faith in them that heard it。
4：3但我们已经相信的人，得以进入那安息，正如神所说，我在怒中起誓说，他们断不可进入我的安息。其实造物之工，从创世以来已经成全了。
For we which have believed do enter into rest； as he said； As I have sworn in my wrath； if they shall enter into my rest： although the works were finished from the foundation of the world。
4：4论到第七日，有一处说，到第七日神就歇了他一切的工。
For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise； And God did rest the seventh day from all his works。
4：5又有一处说，他们断不可进入我的安息。
And in this place again； If they shall enter into my rest。
4：6既有必进安息的人，那先前听见福音的，因为不信从，不得进去。
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein； and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief：
4：7所以过了多年，就在大卫的书上，又限定一日，如以上所引的说，你们今日若听他的话，就不可硬着心。
Again； he limiteth a certain day； saying in David； To day； after so long a time； as it is said； To day if ye will hear his voice； harden not your hearts。
4：8若是约书亚已叫他们享了安息，后来神就不再题别的日子了。
For if Jesus had given them rest； then would he not afterward have spoken of another day。
4：9这样看来，必另有一安息日的安息，为神的子民存留。
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God。
4：10因为那进入安息的，乃是歇了自己的工，正如神歇了他的工一样。
For he that is entered into his rest； he also hath ceased from his own works； as God did from his。
4：11所以我们务必竭力进入那安息，免得有人
