And Mordecai wrote these things； and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus； both nigh and far；
9：21嘱咐他们每年守亚达月十四，十五两日。
To stablish this among them； that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar； and the fifteenth day of the same； yearly；
9：22以这月的两日为犹大人脱离仇敌得平安，转忧为喜，转悲为乐的吉日。在这两日设筵欢乐，彼此馈送礼物，周济穷人。
As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies； and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy； and from mourning into a good day： that they should make them days of feasting and joy； and of sending portions one to another； and gifts to the poor。
9：23于是，犹大人按着末底改所写与他们的信，应承照初次所守的守为永例。
And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun； and as Mordecai had written unto them；
9：24是因犹大人的仇敌，亚甲族哈米大他的儿子哈曼，设谋杀害犹大人，掣普珥，是掣签，为要杀尽灭绝他们。
Because Haman the son of Hammedatha； the Agagite； the enemy of all the Jews； had devised against the Jews to destroy them； and had cast Pur； that is； the lot； to consume them； and to destroy them；
9：25这事报告于王，王便降旨使哈曼谋害犹大人的恶事，归到他自己的头上，并吩咐把他和他的众子都挂在木架上。
But when Esther came before the king； he manded by letters that his wicked device； which he devised against the Jews； should return upon his own head； and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows。
9：26照着普珥的名字，犹大人就称这两日为普珥日。他们因这信上的话，又因所看见所遇见的事，
Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur。 Therefore for all the words of this letter； and of that which they had seen concerning this matter； and which had e unto them；
9：27就应承自己与后裔，并归附他们的人，每年按时必守这两日，永远不废。
The Jews ordained； and took upon them； and upon their seed； and upon all such as joined themselves unto them； so as it should not fail； that they would keep these two days according to their writing； and according to their appointed time every year；
9：28各省各城，家家户户，世世代代纪念遵守这两日，使这普珥日在犹大人中不可废掉，在他们后裔中也不可忘记。
And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation； every family； every province； and every city； and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews； nor the memorial of them perish from their seed。
9：29亚比孩的女儿王后以斯帖，和犹大人末底改以全权写第二封信，坚嘱犹大人守这普珥日。
Then Esther the queen； the daughter of Abihail； and Mordecai the Jew； wrote with all authority； to confirm this second letter of Purim。
9：30用和平诚实话，写信给亚哈随鲁王国中，一百二十七省所有的犹大人，
And he sent the letters unto all the Jews； to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus； with words of peace and truth；
9：31劝他们按时守这普珥日，禁食呼求，是照犹大人末底改，和王后以斯帖，所嘱咐的。也照犹大人为自己与后裔所应承的。
To confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed； according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them； and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed； the matters of the fastings and their cry。
9：32以斯帖命定守普珥日，这事也记录在书上。
And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim； and it was written in the book。

10：1亚哈随鲁王使旱地，和海岛的人民都进贡。
And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land； and upon the isles of the sea。
10：2他以权柄能力所行的，并他抬举末底改使他高升的事，岂不都写在玛代，和波斯王的历史上吗。
And all the acts of his power and of his might； and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai； whereunto the king advanced him； are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia？
10：3犹大人末底改作亚哈随鲁王的宰相，在犹大人中为大，得他众弟兄的喜悦，为本族的人求好处，向他们说和平的话。
For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus； and great among the Jews； and accepted of the multitude of his brethren； seeking the wealth of his people； and speaking peace to all his seed。

1：1乌斯地有一个人名叫约伯。那人完全正直，敬畏神，远离恶事。
There was a man in the land of Uz； whose name was Job； and that man was perfect and upright； and one that feared God； and eschewed evil。
1：2他生了七个儿子，三个女儿。
And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters。
1：3他的家产有七千羊，三千骆驼，五百对牛，五百母驴，并有许多仆婢。这人在东方人中就为至大。
His substance also was seven thousand sheep； and three thousand camels； and five hundred yoke of oxen； and five hundred she asses； and a very great household； so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east。
1：4他的儿子，按着日子，各在自己家里设摆筵宴，就打发人去，请了他们的三个姊妹来，与他们一同吃喝，
And his sons went and feasted in their houses； every one his day； and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them。
1：5筵宴的日子过了，约伯打发人去叫他们自洁。他清早起来，按着他们众人的数目献燔祭。因为他说，恐怕我儿子犯了罪，心中弃掉神。约伯常常这样行。
And it was so； when the days of their feasting were gone about； that Job sent and sanctified them； and rose up early in the morning； and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all： for Job said； It may be that my sons have sinned； and cursed God in their hearts。 Thus did Job continually。
1：6有一天，神的众子，来侍立在耶和华面前，撒但也来在其中。
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD； and Satan came also among them。
1：7耶和华问撒但说，你从那里来。撒但回答说，我从地上走来走去，往返而来。
And the LORD said unto Satan； Whence est thou？ Then Satan answered the LORD； and said； From going to and fro in the earth； and from walking up and down in it。
1：8耶和华问撒但说，你曾用心察看我的仆人约伯没有。地上再没有人像他完全正直，敬畏神，远离恶事。
And the LORD said unto Satan； Hast thou considered my servant Job； that there is none like him in the earth； a perfect and an upright man； one that feareth God； and escheweth evil？
1：9撒但回答耶和华说，约伯敬畏神，岂是无故呢。
Then Satan answered the LORD； and said； Doth Job fear God for nought？
1：10你岂不是四面圈上篱笆，围护他和他的家，并他一切所有的吗。他手所做的都蒙你赐福。他的家产也在地上增多。
Hast not thou made an hedge about him； and about his house； and about all that he hath on every side？ thou hast blessed the work of his hands； and his substance is increased in the land。
1：11你且伸手毁他一切所有的。他必当面弃掉你。
But put forth thine hand now； and touch all that he hath； and he will curse thee to thy face。
1：12耶和华对撒但说，凡他所有的都在你手中。只是不可伸手加害于他。于是撒但从耶和华面前退去。
And the LORD said unto Satan； Behold； all that he hath is in thy power； only upon himself put not forth thine hand。 So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD。
1：13有一天，约伯的儿女正在他们长兄的家里，吃饭喝酒，
And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house：
1：14有报信的来见约伯，说，牛正耕地，驴在旁边吃草。
And there came a messenger unto Job； and said； The oxen were plowing； and the asses feeding beside them：
1：15示巴人忽然闯来，把牲畜掳去，并用刀杀了仆人。惟有我一人逃脱，来报信给你。
And the Sabeans fell upon them； and took them away； yea； they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword； and I only am escaped alone to tell thee。
1：16他还说话的时候，又有人来说，神从天上降下火来，将群羊和仆人都烧灭了。惟有我一人逃脱，来报信给你。
While he was yet speaking； there came also another； and said； The fire of God is fallen from heaven； and hath burned up the sheep； and the servants； and consumed them； and I only am escaped alone to tell thee。
1：17他还说话的时候，又有人来说，迦勒底人分作三队忽然闯来，把骆驼掳去，并用刀杀了仆人。惟有我一人逃脱，来报信给你。
While he was yet speaking； there came also another； and said； The Chaldeans made out three bands； and fell upon the camels； and have carried them away； yea； and slain the servants with the edge of the sword； and I only am escaped alone to tell thee。
1：18他还说话的时候，又有人来说，你的儿女正在他们长兄的�
