And the ass saw me； and turned from me these three times： unless she had turned from me； surely now also I had slain thee； and saved her alive。
22：34巴兰对耶和华的使者说，我有罪了。我不知道你站在路上阻挡我。你若不喜欢我去，我就转回。
And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD； I have sinned； for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me： now therefore； if it displease thee； I will get me back again。
22：35耶和华的使者对巴兰说，你同这些人去吧。你只要说我对你说的话。于是巴兰同着巴勒的使臣去了。
And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam； Go with the men： but only the word that I shall speak unto thee； that thou shalt speak。 So Balaam went with the princes of Balak。
22：36巴勒听见巴兰来了，就往摩押京城去迎接他。这城是在边界上，在亚嫩河旁。
And when Balak heard that Balaam was e； he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab； which is in the border of Arnon； which is in the utmost coast。
22：37巴勒对巴兰说，我不是急急地打发人到你那里去召你吗，你为何不到我这里来呢，我岂不能使你得尊荣吗，
And Balak said unto Balaam； Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee？ wherefore camest thou not unto me？ am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour？
22：38巴兰说，我已经到你这里来了。现在我岂能擅自说什么呢，神将什么话传给我，我就说什么。
And Balaam said unto Balak； Lo； I am e unto thee： have I now any power at all to say any thing？ the word that God putteth in my mouth； that shall I speak。
22：39巴兰和巴勒同行，来到基列胡琐。
And Balaam went with Balak； and they came unto Kirjathhuzoth。
22：40巴勒宰了（原文作献）牛羊，送给巴兰和陪伴的使臣。
And Balak offered oxen and sheep； and sent to Balaam； and to the princes that were with him。
22：41到了早晨，巴勒领巴兰到巴力的高处。巴兰从那里观看以色列营的边界。
And it came to pass on the morrow； that Balak took Balaam； and brought him up into the high places of Baal； that thence he might see the utmost part of the people。

23：1巴兰对巴勒说，你在这里给我筑七座坛，为我预备七只公牛，七只公羊。
And Balaam said unto Balak； Build me here seven altars； and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams。
23：2巴勒照巴兰的话行了。巴勒和巴兰在每座坛上献一只公牛，一只公羊。
And Balak did as Balaam had spoken； and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram。
23：3巴兰对巴勒说，你站在你的燔祭旁边，我且往前去，或者耶和华来迎见我。他指示我什么，我必告诉你。于是巴兰上一净光的高处。
And Balaam said unto Balak； Stand by thy burnt offering； and I will go： peradventure the LORD will e to meet me： and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee。 And he went to an high place。
23：4神迎见巴兰。巴兰说，我预备了七座坛，在每座坛上献了一只公牛，一只公羊。
And God met Balaam： and he said unto him； I have prepared seven altars； and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram。
23：5耶和华将话传给巴兰，又说，你回到巴勒那里，要如此如此说。
And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth； and said； Return unto Balak； and thus thou shalt speak。
23：6他就回到巴勒那里，见他同摩押的使臣都站在燔祭旁边。
And he returned unto him； and； lo； he stood by his burnt sacrifice； he； and all the princes of Moab。
23：7巴兰便题起诗歌说，巴勒引我出亚兰，摩押王引我出东山，说，来阿，为我咒诅雅各。来阿，怒骂以色列。
And he took up his parable； and said； Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram； out of the mountains of the east； saying； e； curse me Jacob； and e； defy Israel。
23：8神没有咒诅的，我焉能咒诅，耶和华没有怒骂的，我焉能怒骂，
How shall I curse； whom God hath not cursed？ or how shall I defy； whom the LORD hath not defied？
23：9我从高峰看他，从小山望他。这是独居的民，不列在万民中。
For from the top of the rocks I see him； and from the hills I behold him： lo； the people shall dwell alone； and shall not be reckoned among the nations。
23：10谁能数点雅各的尘土，谁能计算以色列的四分之一，我愿如义人之死而死。我愿如义人之终而终。
Who can count the dust of Jacob； and the number of the fourth part of Israel？ Let me die the death of the righteous； and let my last end be like his！
23：11巴勒对巴兰说，你向我作的是什么事呢，我领你来咒诅我的仇敌，不料，你竟为他们祝福。
And Balak said unto Balaam； What hast thou done unto me？ I took thee to curse mine enemies； and； behold； thou hast blessed them altogether。
23：12他回答说，耶和华传给我的话，我能不谨慎传说吗，
And he answered and said； Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth？
23：13巴勒说，求你同我往别处去，在那里可以看见他们。你不能全看见，只能看见他们边界上的人。在那里要为我咒诅他们。
And Balak said unto him； e； I pray thee； with me unto another place； from whence thou mayest see them： thou shalt see but the utmost part of them； and shalt not see them all： and curse me them from thence。
23：14于是领巴兰到了琐腓田，上了毗斯迦山顶，筑了七座坛。每座坛上献一只公牛，一只公羊。
And he brought him into the field of Zophim； to the top of Pisgah； and built seven altars； and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar。
23：15巴兰对巴勒说，你站在这燔祭旁边，等我往那边去迎见耶和华。
And he said unto Balak； Stand here by thy burnt offering； while I meet the LORD yonder。
23：16耶和华临到巴兰那里，将话传给他。又说，你回到巴勒那里，要如此如此说。
And the LORD met Balaam； and put a word in his mouth； and said； Go again unto Balak； and say thus。
23：17他就回到巴勒那里，见他站在燔祭旁边。摩押的使臣也和他在一处。巴勒问他说，耶和华说了什么话呢，
And when he came to him； behold； he stood by his burnt offering； and the princes of Moab with him。 And Balak said unto him； What hath the LORD spoken？
23：18巴兰就题诗歌说，巴勒，你起来听。西拨的儿子，你听我言。
And he took up his parable； and said； Rise up； Balak； and hear； hearken unto me； thou son of Zippor：
23：19神非人，必不致说谎，也非人子，必不致后悔。他说话岂不照着行呢，他发言岂不要成就呢，
God is not a man； that he should lie； neither the son of man； that he should repent： hath he said； and shall he not do it？ or hath he spoken； and shall he not make it good？
23：20我奉命祝福。神也曾赐福，此事我不能翻转。
Behold； I have received mandment to bless： and he hath blessed； and I cannot reverse it。
23：21他未见雅各中有罪孽，也未见以色列中有奸恶。耶和华他的神和他同在。有欢呼王的声音在他们中间。
He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob； neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel： the LORD his God is with him； and the shout of a king is among them。
23：22神领他们出埃及。他们似乎有野牛之力。
God brought them out of Egypt； he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn。
23：23断没有法术可以害雅各，也没有占卜可以害以色列。现在必有人论及雅各，就是论及以色列说，神为他行了何等的大事。
Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob； neither is there any divination against Israel： according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel； What hath God wrought！
23：24这民起来，彷佛母狮，挺身，好像公狮，未曾吃野食，未曾喝被伤者之血，决不躺卧。
Behold； the people shall rise up as a great lion； and lift up himself as a young lion： he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey； and drink the blood of the slain。
23：25巴勒对巴兰说，你一点不要咒诅他们，也不要为他们祝福。
And Balak said unto Balaam； Neither curse them at all； nor bless them at all。
23：26巴兰回答巴勒说，我岂不是告诉你说凡耶和华所说的，我必须遵行吗，
But Balaam answered and said unto Balak； Told not I thee； saying； All that the LORD speaketh； that I must do？
23：27巴勒对巴兰说，来吧，我领你往别处去，或者神喜欢你在那里为我咒诅他们。
And Balak said unto Balaam； e； I pray thee； I will bring thee unto another place； peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence。
23：28巴勒就领巴兰到那下望旷野的毗珥山顶上。
And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor； that looketh toward Jeshimon。
23：29巴兰对巴勒说，你在这里为我筑七座坛，又在这里为我预备七只公牛，七只公羊。
And Balaam said unto Balak； Build me here seven altars； and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams。
23：30巴勒就照巴兰的话行，在每座坛上献一只公牛，一只公羊。
